Privacy policy

Last updated 18 August 2026. This describes how Furnishi Technologies Pvt Ltd handles personal data in the Furnishi platform.

Two different relationshipsFor our customers — factories that subscribe — we are the Data Fiduciary for their account data. For the homeowners whose orders are processed in the platform, the factory is the Data Fiduciary and Furnishi is the Data Processor acting on the factory's instructions.

1. What we collect

Account data
Name, work email, mobile number, role and factory of every user we create an account for.
Order data
Customer name, mobile number, installation address, pincode, product details, dates, status, and the media attached to snags and handovers.
Usage data
Sign-in times, IP address, device and browser, and the audit record of field changes.
Enquiry data
What you type into the contact form on this site.

2. Why we process it

To operate the platform for the factory that subscribes to it: creating and moving orders, assigning partners, computing payouts, producing reports and maintaining the audit trail. We do not use order data to train models, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Who can see what

Access is controlled by the field-level permission matrix described on the permissions page. In summary: the factory's own staff see the order according to their role; work and survey partner firms see the job without customer identity; other factories on the platform see nothing at all.

4. Your rights under the DPDP Act 2023

Access
Ask for a summary of the personal data being processed about you.
Correction
Have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected or completed.
Erasure
Ask for data to be erased where it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for and no legal obligation requires it to be kept.
Grievance
Raise a grievance and receive a response within the statutory period.
Nomination
Nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf.

If you are a homeowner, direct these requests to the factory that holds your order — they are the Data Fiduciary. If they route it to us, we act on their instruction. If you are a Furnishi account holder, write to privacy@furnishi.in.

5. Retention

Order records, handover signatures and snag evidence are retained for the period in the factory's agreement — by default seven years, because they are commercial records that may be needed in a dispute. Account data is deleted within 90 days of the account being closed. Audit logs are retained for the same period as the records they describe.

6. Storage and transfer

Primary and backup storage is in an Indian region. Personal data is not transferred outside India. Sub-processors are limited to infrastructure and communication providers; the current list is available on request and forms part of the data processing agreement.

7. Aadhaar

Furnishi does not collect, store or authenticate against Aadhaar numbers. Identity verification, where required, uses mobile OTP.

8. Cookies

This site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. The application uses a session cookie required to keep you signed in.

9. Changes and contact

Material changes will be notified to account holders by email before they take effect. Grievance Officer contact: privacy@furnishi.in.
